Since our establishment in 1940, we have welcomed students from districts of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh states and provided them a challenging and fulfilling learning experience. I congratulate you all brand ambassadors for their decision of choosing this premier educational institution for quality education. Our mission is “The Tireless Quest” for inculcating in the youths the Universal Human Values through Education as initiated by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Arya Samaj. We dream and strive for your higher, stronger and brighter tomorrow. I am proud to mention that most of the average students who join Dayanand Institutions in the initial years finish with higher ranks and distinction and achieve respectable positions in various sectors to serve and build our society and nation.

As an alumnus of Dayanand College, I know from my personal experience how important Dayanand is in shaping your life, career, relationships and views. I encourage you to become a part of DAV and let DAV become a part of you. I welcome and offer best wishes for this new phase of your life and career. In doing so, you have opened for yourself a window that would give you an access to golden opportunities thereby leading to vast channels of gainful settlement in life.

It is the fact that education is primary instrument of change, development and progress which stimulates the minds and incubates the habit of critical thinking. Our aim is not merely to impart knowledge but also to develop overall personality with holistic approach, thus enabling the students to excel in different walks of life.

We have adequate infrastructure with computer, IT laboratories, Class rooms, open air auditorium, Swami Dayanand Saraswati AC Seminar hall, enriched and partially digitalized library with internet facility and well equipped Gymkhana. Extra-curricular activities are conducted through students’ council, departmental clubs, music and Fine Arts club, NCC and NSS. Large numbers of productive activities are carried out in this college for attaining the goal of grooming the potential prodigies, outstanding athletes and talented artists. We are proud for having a strong team of highly qualified, loyal and dedicated teaching and nonteaching staff. I assure you of a very conducive environment and positive ambiences which will help you to develop your potential.

In the past 75 years, D.B.F. Dayanand College of Arts and Science have grown not only in strength and size but also in levels of excellence. As a result, in 2010, it has been bestowed with recognition by University Grants Commission, New Delhi as “College with Potential for Excellence” (CPE) at all India level, in phase I- (2010-2015) and further with the evaluation and assessment in 2015, UGC once again bestowed it with “College with Potential Excellence” (CPE) in phase II-(2015-2020) as only college in Solapur University jurisdiction. The college has secured “A” grade in reaccreditation process for second cycle by the NAAC, Bangalore (2014 – 2019). On 1st June 2016 Solapur University conducted “Academic and Administrative Audit” (AAA) in which the college secured ‘A’ grade with 91.33% (274/300), the highest marks among the grantable Arts, Science and Commerce colleges affiliated to Solapur University. The College has also obtained “Best College Award 2016-17” from Solapur University.

The college has been a hub of many value-based activities dedicated to high achievements and excellence among the students and faculty. All these have been possible because of continuous motivational guidance, inspiration, blessings and cooperative support from our beloved President Hon’ble Shri. Punamji Suri, DAVCMC authorities, office bearers, members and Local secretary Shri. Maheshji Chopra. I gratefully acknowledge the hard work and efforts of all the teaching and non-teaching members of faculty who have worked tirelessly with passion and commitment along with all the students, parents, stakeholders and alumni and DAV institute lovers, in fulfilling our goals on the path of excellence.
