Avishkar
The College believes in all round development of the students and research is one of the areas which have been proven very important in the education process. To inculcate research aptitude, interest, innovative ideas, observation, evaluation, thought provoking process and contribution to new knowledge, the students are encouraged to take part in the college level Avishkar Research Festival every year. In this festival there are four categories namely – UG students, PG students, Research Students and Teachers. The interested participants register their names for presentation of their topics through presentation and oral presentation separately. A team of researchers is selected from the participants from all categories and they represent college at the University Level Avishkar Research Festival. Moreover, a few selected members get opportunity to represent the university in Intra-University competitions. As a result of this activity, the college team has bagged a number of prizes and recognized as one of the Leading College in the area of research.
The College Level Avishkar competition was arranged on 20th September 2016 at 11 am in the Velankar Hall. The Competition was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. V. B. Patil, Professor School of Physical Sciences, Solapur University Solapur. Principal Dr. V.P. Ubale presidedover the function. Dr. G. S. Shahane, Coordinator, Avishkar explained the purpose of the Avishkar and their rules and regulations. The Competition was arranged from six different categories at four levels. About 29 Students actively participated in the competition. Dr. V. B. Patil,School of Physical Sciences, Solapur University, Solapur and Dr. C. S. Chavan, Walchand College, Solapur Dr. S. R. Aland Department of Zoology, Walchand College, Solapur has worked as refereefor the competition. Out of 29 participants 20 participants got selected for University Level Avishkar Competition from various Categories. Finally the guest addressed the students and gave useful tips to student for theirfuture better performance. Dr. M. N. Jagtap, Dr. Mrs. S. N. Deshpande, Mr. S. P. Deshmukh, Mr. R. V. Rajmane, Dr. L. C. Mushan, Dr. R. V. Shinde,Dr. R. N. Ranaware, Dr. V. C. Dande , Mr. D. D. Misal , Mr. V. K. Kongure guided the students for various projects.

The Competition was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Parashuram Patroti, Scientist (Genetics & Plant Breeding), Center on Rabi Sorghum (ICAR), Solapur. Principal Dr. V.P. Ubale presidedover the function. Dr. G. S. Shahane, Coordinator, Avishkar,explained the purpose of the Avishkar and their rules and regulations. The Competition was arranged from six different categories at four levels. About 68Students actively participated in the competition. Dr. V. B. About 60 Students actively participated in the competition. Dr. Hegadi R. S. Head, Department of Computer Science, Solapur University, Solapur and Dr. Nabha Kakade, Social College, Solapur has worked as referee for the competition. Out of 60 participants35participants got selected for University Level Avishkar Competition from various Categories. The University Level Avishkar competition was arranged on 30-31 December 2015atLokmangal Biotechnology, Wadala. Dr. G. S. Shahane worked as coordinator for Avishkar Research Competition. Twenty Eightstudents of our college participated in University Level Avishkar Research Competition. In this competition our college own8prizesfrom various categories through UG/PG/PPG.These 8Participants were selected for State Level Avishkar Competition was held at SP Pune University, Pune. On this moment the local secretary Dr. Maheshji Chopra, Principal Dr. Shrinivas Vadagbalakar, Dr. V. P. Ubale and Dr. G. S. Shahane Congratulated the Winners of the Avishkar Research Competition paritcipants.
