Welcome to Department of Chemistry

The department of chemistry is pioneer department right from the inception of the college. Department is well equipped with advanced instruments and laboratories. Department has highly qualified faculties. Five of them are doctorate and remaining is registered for Ph.D. Faculty members are engaged in minor research projects funded by UGC/State/University.
Chemistry department is having research facilities in the following areas: High Performance Materials, Material Synthesis. Fluorescence Spectroscopy/Solid state, Nano-Materials, Environmental Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Electrochemistry/Acoustical and Thermodynamic properties, Thermodynamic Study, Schiff base complex study, Microwave Assisted Synthesis, Organic Synthesis, Green Chemistry, Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Courses Run by the department are B.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc. (Physical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
Skill developments courses like Laboratory safety & handling of chemicals and Handling of Analytical Instruments run by the department for UG and PG students. The department also runs University Affiliated course named Certificate course in Textile Chemistry for B.Sc III and M.Sc. students.
